PAKISTAN PHARMACISTS ASSOCIATION (PPA)

A delegation of Pakistan Pharmacist Association (PPA) Centre headed by Sardar Shabbir Ahmed, President PPA and comprising Rao Aalamgir G.S , Shifa Bangash, VP, Ikram Dar VP, Khakan Babar, EM and Dr Sohail held a meeting with Dr Shahzad Ali Khan, VC, HSA, Islamabad today.
The following decisions were arrived at;
i. PPA and HSA shall sign a MoU immediately after Eid for enhancing the professional collaboration;
ii. HSA shall, on recommendations of and in collaboration with PPA, start Certification Courses in various disciplines of Pharmacy profession including Regulatory Sciences, Pharmacovigilance, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control and documentation, best Marketing practices and few others;
iii. The HSA shall accord priority to the candidates recommended by PPA for admission to various degree courses conducted by HSA including MSPH, PhD Public Health and others;
iv. HSA in collaboration with PPA shall launch a pilot project for implementation of Pharmacy Practice and shall firm up the recommendation for its replication across Pakistan;
v. It was also mutually agreed that HSA shall only consider the recommendations of the PPA, being representative of the Pharmacist Community in all matters related to Pharmacy profession.
The meeting ended with the resolve to enhance the coordination between two organization for the betterment of health system. The delegation thanked the Vice Chancellor for giving a patient listening to the delegation and extending facilitation in all the legitimate requests to PPA.
