The Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) is the official national representative organization of pharmacists in Pakistan. Established to unite and strengthen the pharmacy profession, PPA serves as the collective voice of pharmacists working across healthcare, academia, pharmaceutical industries, research, community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, regulatory affairs, and public health. Brief History
Since its establishment, the Pakistan Pharmacists Association has played a pivotal role in the advancement of the pharmacy profession in Pakistan. Over the years, PPA has led national advocacy efforts, organized international and national conferences, promoted professional development, collaborated with healthcare stakeholders, and represented pharmacists on matters of public health and healthcare policy. Today, it continues to strengthen the profession by supporting innovation, education, research, and leadership within the pharmaceutical sector.
Registered Association
The Pakistan Pharmacists Association is a registered professional body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. As the recognized representative organization of pharmacists across Pakistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), PPA operates through its Central Executive and Provincial Branches to promote the interests of the pharmacy profession and contribute to the development of Pakistan's healthcare system.
National Representation
PPA proudly represents a community of over 60,000 registered pharmacists serving in diverse sectors of healthcare. Its membership includes professionals from pharmaceutical manufacturing, clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, academia, research, drug regulation, quality assurance, marketing, and the pharmaceutical supply chain. Through its nationwide network and provincial branches, the Association advocates for pharmacists' professional rights while fostering collaboration with government institutions, universities, healthcare organizations, and international partners.
